hi! it's been a long time, I know. after a series of unfortunate events, I was locked out of my LJ account (forgot my PW, had email issues) and gave up trying to get back in. Recently, I managed to recover my PW finally, and wa-bam! I don't know how many of my old friends are still around here, but I thought I'd say hey and give everyone an update ( Read more... )

Unless all the women magically grew their spines back, I would library that WoT book personally. ;)

You have been missed, Matt. *hugs* I'm glad to see you and to hear that you've been working hard. The full time job will come, I'm sure, but it's great that you have work in the meantime, and Portland is such a cool city. I'm sorry to hear about the GF situation, and it sounds like it was a tough one.

I have indeed been playing Guild Wars 2.. it's enjoyable, no sub fee, and though it has flaws, I find the classes fun and I like the armor and dye systems. (Tarnished Coast server, for the record) I also have Tera which is a Korean mmo that has been Westernized to a degree by a partner company to the original company who made the game. It's going FTP soon. Leveling is a serious grind after a while there (big shock on a Korean title though it's nowhere near as bad as most of their games), but since it will also have no sub fee, I'll probably still play it when I'm in the mood, because it really is a beautiful game visually. I also have a vent server, but unless we're all gaming together, it can be quiet most nights because I spend a lot of time watching Hulu or Netflix for my TV fix. ;)

We've been busy over the last few years and are now in Texas (Katy, near Houston).. We like it pretty well here, and Craig is doing extremely well and is currently a Senior Director of IT E-Commerce for Academy. Kalia is ten and deeply focused on becoming a marine biologist. ;) Five dogs, two horses (Still in Kansas due to boarding being insane here), one 18 year old cat, and a partridge in a pear tree, and the rest goes on without change.
