"Does this look like a kids story to you?"
It's one of those days...I've been sick for nearly two weeks now and am getting really tired of it. I've been sat at my computer pretty much all day and have not really been in the mood to speak to anyone. For the most part I've been checking out You Tube videos...That said, I've got a lot of fandom vids to rec.
I've also been catching up this week on shows that I've been behind on. Being Human has gotten really brilliant and it's down to the intense, edge of your seat stuff now. Only a few episodes left. I can't believe that Mitchell has gone as far as he has with establishing his authority over the vampires. And George...Poor George, I feel so sorry for him. It's beginning to look like he can't live a normal life after all.
Spooks has ended and this season was not stellar. Hopefully next year the writing will be better and they'll give my favourite spies more of a cohesive storyline to deal with. And please, less of the Americans who can't do an American accent to save their lives. I heard next year will probably be Spooks last. This makes me very sad. Maybe if it manages to pull off a season like it had with 7 we may see more of it.
I'm all caught up on Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Billie is really brilliant in it this season and it seems to be going really well so far. Love the sister staying with her and how it complicates her doing her "job". Not sure how I feel about her publisher yet, but it looks like things will heat up there as well. Can't wait for the next episode.
I finally managed to watch SyFy's Alice and I absolutely loved it. So yes, now I have a new fandom and a new ship. Honestly one of my favourite parts of Primeval has always been Andrew Lee Potts, but I always feel a bit like a cradle robber saying it, as he can't be over 25. But still, he is adorable. And he is even more adorable as Hatter. And hey, he's legal...and married, so I don't feel too bad. But I thought Alice was a brilliantly re-imagined look at a classic fairytale. Yes, it had it's plot problems, but basically, it's fanfiction. An AU of what Wonderland would be like 150 years after the original story. I thought it was very well done on all levels. And very enjoyable.
