Life, Christmas Shopping and Time Lords

It's been a fun couple of weeks what with Christmas time sneaking up on me. I dyed my hair a bit more blonde last week and went yesterday to the salon to get it cut and shaped up a bit. Holiday parties are starting up and I went to a very nice one the other night. Got invited to one that will be a reunion of sorts. Not sure if I'm looking forward to it or not, but I know that I need to go to socialize with people I haven't seen in years but still consider a second family of sorts.

Today I did some Christmas shopping online, and though I'm not done yet, I do feel like I made a bit of progress. I even purchased my own present from myself today. Continuing my tradition from last year, I bought myself some Doctor Who merchandise. Three BBC Tenth Doctor novels and one Torchwood novel. There is also a t-shirt I desperately want from BBC America that has a TARDIS on it.

I have a Disneyland trip coming up and I'm very excited about that. It will be quite a short trip so I don't have to miss any work, but it doesn't matter. Any time spent at Disneyland is better than time spent at work or at home, in my opinion at least.

I've got a new cat, a stray I've adopted. Her name is Jade and she is completely jet black with green eyes. And even though she looks like a witch's familiar, she is the sweetest, most loving cat I've ever encountered. Hopefully she'll be part of my family for a long time. Her kittens are the hard part. My family is having trouble parting with them. But they are adorable. They are all boys, three of them, and two are scheduled to be neutered this week. The other one is spoken for by a neighbor and I'm just praying she follows through and gets him fixed as well.

It's just a few weeks until David Tennant says his final goodbye as the Doctor. BBC One has come out with a brilliant station ident that showcases our favorite Time Lord. The Doctor pulling his TARDIS with reindeer. And so I wish everyone a very early Merry Christmas.
