A vampire, a werewolf and a ghost...Share a house in Bristol.

I've been a bit unmotivated to post or comment on LJ over the last week or so. So I suppose I have a lot to say about fandom since it's been so long. Haven't watched the Comic Relief stuff yet but will soon. I've seen all the clips and pics on my flist and it looks brilliant.

Currently watching Jeremy, James and Richard on Top Gear. Honestly, I watch more British TV now than I probably will when I'm in Britain. Which I will be in August, I have officially bought airfare. I have already scouted out the Forbidden Planet and am planning on trying to make it there on my first day. Hopefully that will work out. I will only be in London 3 days and one day I'll be on a day tour to Stonehenge. But if you know of any other Doctor Who shops I should visit please let me know.

I'm very excited that Hamlet is going to be released on dvd. Hopefully I'll be able to buy it while I'm there. If not, I'm definitely ordering the Region 2 version from amazon.co.uk. But the prospect of seeing DT in a Shakespeare play is thrilling in the extreme to me. Even if it's not on the stage in London or Stratford.

So on my last jaunt out of town I finally found time to catch up with Being Human. And yes, everyone on my flist was right...It is brilliant. Forget Moonlight, forget Blood Ties, this is more creative, dramatic, funny and innovative than either of them. This is a story you haven't seen before. Well...we've seen the vampire trying not to kill and wanting to be human...but you've never seen him rooming with a werewolf and a ghost in a small house in Bristol.

There are plenty of laugh out loud moments along with edge of your seat cliffhangers...and of course the odd werewolf attack, blood sucking death and murderous abusive boyfriend. There are a lot of good moments in this series and some wonderfully developed characters. My favorite...because vampires work better when they don't sparkle...is Mitchell. Dark, brooding, Irish and very sexy. And here's a video to demonstrate by nutzypeanutz.
