Reality, Comedy, Trips and Plays

There's been a lot going on in my life over the last week. Starting on Tuesday of last week I was picked to be a juror on a criminal case. I got to witness first hand the Arizona judicial system and it was quite interesting to be at the courthouse everyday and be around judges and lawyers and bailiffs and such. Something that I never would have expected when I got chosen for jury duty was that I would actually enjoy it. But that's exactly what happened. The trial ended Friday and we gave our verdict and were sent home. And the next time I get a jury summons I'll look at it in a totally different way.

Last night I went to see the Lion King (the touring version of the Broadway musical). I was skeptical but it was absolutely brilliant. The costumes are amazing and the music, the orchestra and the singing were all really wonderful. I was so glad I went.

I've been moving files at work again and now have paper cuts all over my hands. I'm not sore yet, but I'm sure I will be later this evening. I'm so glad to finally be done with this project for another year. I just hope that I'll be around to do it again next year.

The London snow created quite a lot of interesting entries on my flist. I so enjoyed looking at all the pictures of the city blanketed by the strange white stuff that ended up stopping the tube and the buses. Thank you all for sharing your weather stories with me. I'm loosely planning a trip to England/Scotland in August so it was doubly interesting for me.

Speaking of David Tennant...well, maybe we weren't but I was in my head...He's back filming Doctor Who. Apparently with a new bus, since one was trashed on the way to Dubai. He sent a nice Thank You card to david-tennant.com, though I wasn't one of the ones being thanked it was lovely to read. Also, if you're interested in DT in Hamlet I suggest reading Keith's Blog on rsc.org.uk. He talks quite a lot about working and rehearsing with David and how his back problems effected the company and his performance. It was quite an interesting read. And also David is going to be hosting the first hour of Comic Relief. The photo shoot that went along with that announcement was full of awesome shots. And so...a spontaneous pic spam.

He's such an adorable,  insane, dork of a man.
Pictures snagged from david-tennant.com.
