I have been meaning to post this for a long time
One of my favorite poems - written by a wonderful writer, imfinite.
you are
the delight of sushi
and you are
the caged bird
that sang to
set itself free.
you are
the church bells
on Sunday morning
telling a story
with a precise
and unmatched beauty.
and you are
a reflection of
the innocence
that rings inside of me.
On a day like today, where I am mired in the horrible going-ons of our government and the injustices that are seemingly occurring at an exponentially increasing rate, it is very nice to read a poem like this and just think of beautiful things. Thanks again, Imfinite, for this lovely distraction to my morning.
