2/6/05 was a painful day

I'm still confused as to what the hell happened yesterday. The day before was really fun. Almost no absolute pain, and in terms of relative pain, it was super! We had the fondue party. I had a total of two drinks: one glass of chianti that I actually didn't even finish, and later on a cosmo that sort of kept me goin' the rest of the nite. these were fairly early on. then we went to bed around 1 and when i woke up and was just in so much pain, i couldn't believe it. i mean, it felt like a hangover but i knew it couldn't be. i can't remember what i did, if i got up and ate or not. i think i didn't, that i just went back to bed for a long time. i was achey all over my body, i had a terrible headache, and i was extremely nauseated. after a while will and i got up and had some eggs and toast. then i a while i went back down and later i got up and threw it all up. i haven't felt so nauseated where i almost didn't get to the toilet. usually with migraines when i am nauseated i just know it would be for the best if i go throw up even if i don't *really* have to so i just go there are there are a few dry heaves and then i eventually throw something up, even if its just mostly bile. anyways, this throwing up of stuff happened right away and of course i was pretty shaky for awhile after but i immediately felt better. not great, but better. i went back to bed and was feeling terrible because i knew i wouldn't be able to get anything done for my contract that day. sunday was the day i was going to write my article on day of presence, day of absence for the cpj. that wasn't going to get done. and it was to be due at 3 pm monday. i also needed to read the new york times series on race, and that wasn't going to be getting done. so i just stayed in bed all day til like 7:30 pm and then i got up and had something to eat. my stomache felt a little weak but i was able to hold it in.

so what was it? was it a migraine? just like, a type i've never experienced before? i doubt it was food poisoning, as no one else from the fondue party experienced it. i doubt it was a hangover as i didn't drink much, and i drank plenty of water. i'm starting to think it must have been a terrible terrible migraine, a kind i haven't experienced before...i mean all the pains were in different strengths and ratios to each other than usual. like when you take a picture in photoshop and adjust the RBG, contrast, sharpness, etc...it can make the same picture look completely different. that's what this was: same symptoms as a migraine, just in way different proportions to each other. weird. i didn't take anything because i was afraid to put anything in me. i just laid there.

now today i couldn't get myself up, mostly because of depression and being overwhelmed by how much stuff i have to do, i think. i slept til like 1:30, crazy. i have so much to do from yesterday. i'm just overwhelmed. i don't know what to do. i'm supposed to be finished with the New York Times book by Wednesday. God, not like I've had it for over a month. sheesh.
