Scotch Broom
An invasive and noxious weed, this is can be a rather hard one to be rid of. Unfortunately, allowing it to spread across the upper portion of the property for 2 years, does not help this equation.
I started work on the grove of it that spans the south western end of the property, yesterday morning. I got through about one quarter of it before I could take no more. This afternoon, another invasion is planned for the next section.
Large Cutters and a chainsaw were used in the removal process. After acquiring a goodly amount of the bushes were cut and piled, a funeral pyre was a must in memoriam of the pesky plants.
If you decide that this is a rather lovely looking shrub, please make sure you are a goodly amount of miles from my property before planting. :)
