Alright. First thing, Josh:
He's okay. He's in Duluth, and they've decided to keep him until Thursday. They did a bunch of CT scans and stuff and decided that he didn't really need surgery like the doc up here thought. He does, however, have blood pooling behind his eye. They're monitoring the pressure, but right now it's reasonable. It it gets too bad, they're going to have to drain it or something. Josh is going to have to lay low for a while. He can't lean forward or lay down for a while (as it could increase the pressure in his eye) - he has to sit up pretty much all the time - and knowing Josh, it's going to be like torture. Mom, Mikey, Alex, Anneka, Sam, possibly Lydia, and I are leaving at 3:30 to go see him. I'm making him some chocolate chip cookies to cheer him up a bit.
In other news, last week was crazy. I'm still tired from it! I can't even remember the beginning of the week. I may or may not have had an OB test last Monday...I had a take-home test due in MedSurg on Tuesday. I got an 89% on it, and she said it was one of the hardest take-home tests ever, so I'm satisfied. I made cupcakes for Silver Express and brought them to the school around 3. After that, I came here and did some homework.
I had nothing on Wednesday, so I worked on homework for most of the day. At 6, I stopped at Copps and bought a bunch of carnations, and then went to the school for Silver Express. I gave carnations to the group and tech crew. The show was pretty good. I sat with Ronnie, Aubre, Veronica, Melvin, Alex, and Marcus, and we had a blast. Afterwards I went home and crashed.
Thursday, I had a clinical in OB. First thing in the morning I saw a c-section. Right after that one, another lady had a c-section, so we had two moms and two babies. The babies were so cute! One was of normal size, but the other was absolutely huge! Cindy let Tammie and me go a tiny bit early, so I was able to make it to Express on time, just barely. Fortunately, Mom and Auntie Julie saved me a spot, and it was another good show. Afterwards, a bunch of the girls asked me to go with the group for food at the Breakwater, so I did, and it was tons of fun.
Friday I woke up pretty late, and forgot I had work, so I ran late getting there. I caught up pretty quickly, and my second appointment was the fastest appointment I've ever had. My last appointment was the crabbiest appointment I've ever had. I hope I never have to deal with something like that ever again. I know I probably will, but I can always hope. Johnny went with on Friday night to Express. It was the best show of the three nights. Auntie Julie took tons of pictures, Gramps and Grammy came and seemed to enjoy the show. Alumni were called up on stage for Tyler's rendition of "Sweet Caroline" and we had a blast! Mikey did great every night, but I'd say Friday he was right on with everything, and I'm really, really proud of him. He's one amazing little brother. After the show we all went to Iron Nugget, and Irene made everybody some really yummy pizza. I left the Nugget and went to Hoefts, where Johnny, Ronnie, Alex, Marcus, and I watched movies until 2am.
It looks like I'll have to update more later - I have to get some things ready before we go to see Josh.
