Holy balls, where to begin?
Not too long ago, a friend of the family broke her femur - she's out of commission for a while.
Another friend of the family was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Yet another friend is quite sick, but I'm sworn to secrecy on the details for now.
Then on Friday, Gramps broke his arm. All Grand View did was put him in a sling - which was VERY obviously not helping, and told him he might want to call an ortho this week. After a few hours and several phone calls, we ended up bringing him to Howard Young. There they took more X-rays and such before deciding that he needed a splint - which took 3 people to apply. They also told him to call first thing Monday for an appointment - which he did. He had his appointment at 9am yesterday, and they said it should heal properly without surgery, but they want to see how it looks next week again. The reason they don't want to do surgery is because of all the damage they'd have to do to the surrounding tissues and such to put in a plate or pin. So, we'll see how things go.
It turned out that the really hard OB test from last Monday went well for me. I got a 96% on it - an A!!! I can DEFINATELY deal with that! Hopefully the rotten test from this past Tuesday went okay, I'm a bit worried.
For Easter, we ended up going to Grammy & Gramps' house for dinner, which was delicious. Afterwards, Mikey left to go see Lydia and the rest of us sat around for a few hours while they told us some of their old stories. I love when they tell their stories - they don't do it nearly enough.
This week I only had one day of class, and I wasn't scheduled for any clinicals. It's been a nice sort of break. I got some homework done, but at a leisurely pace for once! Also, it only snowed a little this week - unlike last week, when we got dumped on.
I've been remembering my dreams a little more often lately. None of them were very interesing really. Except the one from last night. It was long and messed up, we'll just leave it at that.
