Happy New Year!; Fade-in / Fade-out 2012
Looking back on the just-past year, wow. A lot has happened.
Somehow, 2012 turned to be out the most amazing AND the most horrible year in my life yet.
Amazing for all the personal progress I've made, gaining new friends in unexpected places and finding help and stability in the ones I already have - you know who you are, and I'm infinitely thankful. :D
Becoming a lot more independent.
Taking steps in my career internationally - two months of living and working in London I will always remember fondly for being so full of life and great experiences (and I'm not only talking Olympic Games)
But also, this was a year of tears and hurt. Battling myself into place at work against a lot of changes and different times. Trying to shut out unwarranted words on a lot of occasions. Not being paid for two months of work, therefore also having to cancel all my travel and vacation plans for next year. And finally, right at the end of the year, being made redundant due to the company's crisis. (That, I can rant on about for hours, because it sets my apprenticeship into danger and I still feel, that being fired without a two weeks notice is - aside from legally invalid - a very poor way of behaviour from my boss.) What a sad, shitty Christmas it was afterwards. And New Years started with a row in my family, a headache of Doom and lots of tears.
The outlook this year? It can only get better.
First: get a new job.
Second: bring finances in order again. The red numbers need to go
Third: finish education
Fourth: get a new job again
Fifth: move housing
Sixth: start living again
Let's see how far I can get...
