And Autumn Rolls In

Oct 10, 2010 00:26

Huh. Life has taken me up and run away with me. Or in other words for some reason I never get to update anymore lately.
But then, RL is entirely filled with work and school and more work and a ton of activities that keep me off the Internet and somewhere caught between insanity and business of Hell.

My vacation is ever coming nearer, too. Maybe it's a bit daft to run in circles over something that's still over five weeks away, but hey, I never went to Egypt before and I'm really looking forward to it. (Driving poor Nono mad in the process, too. I've started babbling random Arabic during our calls. XD)

School is still sort of between a breeze and major boredom. I feel like an idiot sitting in English 101.
And I guess it's kind of a bad sign if you have to get your German teacher to re-correct your paper four(!) times, because he frickin' marked stuff wrong that's NOT a mistake at all.
Yeah, buddy, you want to teach orthography? Kindly learn it for yourself, first. (And now I probably doomed myself and there's some glaring mistake somewhere in this post - aside from the deliberate ones, that is)
At least it doesn't feel so awkward anymore sitting in that class. It definitely could be worse.

What else. I went to Dresden two weeks back. Very beautiful city, I highly recommend visiting it. Sadly, I was there for a congress, so my time was a bit sparse. I did see the Zwinger though - and I watched Verdi's Rigoletto at the Semper opera. First row tickets in the middle. It doesn't get any better than that. Bless my boss for taking me. &heart; That was absolutely and utterly amazing. The music vibrating under our feet, the singers absolutely at their peak, the scenery was just freaking awesome, and oh, the opera itself is a work of genius. I'll never forget that event in my life.

Also visited grandma over the weekend and we made holly-liquor together. *hippsch* Very potent holly-liquor. Ah, wonderful autumn, you're my favourite time of the year, full of life and harvest. And tasty blood sausage. I usually detest that, but in autumn it somehow becomes very delicious, all freshly made and spicy.

And last of all, we started playing RPGs again. Even that went a whole lot better than before. I'm still feeling a bit 'wooden' in playing my characters, but I fancy myself as getting better. A bit. *phew*

That said, otherwise my life is slowly coming to routine. Yey me...

Oh, watched "Despicable Me" this week. *LOL* Great movie. Highly recommendable for anyone who's read the Evil Overlord list. Anyone else... watch it anyway. It has Squid-cannons. *dies*

And now I gotta scramble, because I promised Mea some Sherlock fic. Teehee. *runs off*

Jâ nee!
