Sorry for not posting... ever. But I've been busy. Busy with RPs and a bit of sketcing, tryng to get a car and a new job, etc. At least I got that new job. I work as a Security Guard now. My first day was last night. ^^ But before I go into that, here's a link to my latest sketches: August
Yeah, LJ won't let me load it up because it's too big. Oh well.
Anyway, onto my first day of work:
First note: My Lieutenant (supervisor),"Guru", is a long time friend of
mine. He's been a close friend for ten years. So of course working with
him is pretty great.
We walk through the park while the sun is
still up. "This is perfect," I say, thinking of my character Dick and
the park he watches over. "May I patrol it?" I ask Guru.
Guru shrugs.
"If you're in the mood to get ganked. But I'd rather that not happen on
your first day. Wouldn't look good for either of us."
As the sun goes down, Guru takes me to the roof of one of our company's
many owned buildings. He names off the buildings around us, then says, "Everything the light touches is our kingdom."
I look to him. "You give me the chills, Lieutenant."
"As was the plan," he nods.
Guru hands me the security guard flashlight. "Man the flashlight," he commands.
I smile with delight. "It's wonderfully heavy. I like it."
"Hm. You like handling the large, black stick, officer?" He teases.
I give a wicked grin. "I like wielding the large, black stick, sir."
He tenses. "I'll keep that in mind."
