what is with japanese culture and pickels...

My Psychology teacher will bring up schooling in other places every now and again - particularly japan. I was watching clips from last night's news and they had a story on two police officers in japan that wer filmed on duty - running away from an angry man who'd crashed his car O.o eh heh, funny stuff man, but in the society that they live in they've gotta be get'n some serious flak for that bit. Either way all the factors considered I decided to look up information on japanese schools and I found out some interesting stuff. Basically their lives are totally different from life in the states ^ ^ it really cool to learn about a system that's upside down and backwards from my own! They're really freak'n strict - you spend two hours on a bus and you're not allowed to sit down? Chew gum in public? Read while walking??? Makes one wonder what artists like gackt, hyde, die, and the many others could develop into such creative forces ^ ^ In a society where your every breath is regimented, the courage it takes to step out of the box and make a statement must be incredible! I understand that it's not the best idea for them to talk a lot about their childhood ^ ^'' that might ruin the mystery of it all - but I'd love to hear j-rockers discuss their childhoods >_< I wish I could ask myself [growl] In Gackt's autobiography, Jihaku, he mentions his childhood in small tidbits, hastily pressing foreward in time. I remember his saying that he got into a lot of fights ^ ^ and for some reason that makes so much sense. Rebellion has gotta be the ultimate form of expression in an environment that's so structured. In some ways though, I wish I could go to school in a system like japan. They've got this connection with education and their peers that is unmatched throughout the world - and what girl doesn't love a guy in uniform, mm? Awhile back I was looking up hyde for a club project and found some pics of him in grade school (not sure if they were real, but they sure looked it ^ ^'' meh) He kinda stood out - how adorable is that XD even at that age, some people already have the makings of an idol.
