Happy Birthday
Well...you aren't just anyone in my life. You're irreplaceable. And today, being your birthday, is a good day to remind you of that.
Usually, I try to wow you. I try to do something spectacular for your birthday, but this year, I've realized that there is nothing I can do that can measure up to the awesomeness of being your friend.
You are by far, my best friend. And I don't just mean a best friend, but the best friend. Don't go flaunting that, because I might have to deny it. Any time I've ever declared anyone my best friend, it's taken a turn for the worst. But, I'm pretty sure you're different. There's not doubt.
You've been around for some of the worst times of my life, and I've seen you at some of your ultimate lows. Those are the times that reassure me we can overcome anything and still come out on top. The good times, well...they've been great. Granted, most of them have revolved around five certain unreacheable boys, but it wouldn't have been as much fun without you. I'm not going to sit here and list all of our inside jokes, because I don't want to belittle them. We don't make them just so someday they can be added to some birthday note--at least I hope that's not why we have them.
Without making this sound like some love affair, I wish I could put into words exactly how important you are to me. I know we've hit some bumps, and some unpleasant disadvantages have been thrown our way, but I don't think I could ever be the same without you. It's good that we are so far apart at college, because it demands that I miss you. And missing you reminds me of what I have--a friend for life. I know your older sister has always let you down, but hopefully you can see that you have an older sister in me (by 18 whole days), and that I'm always here for you.
