Yay my first icon tutorial on this journal.
We're gonna go from this:

This Screencap taken by
gforgina [X]First resize and crop your
screencap as desired.
[X]Copy the base and set it to Screen : Opacity at 26%. Then go to Filter >> Blur >> Gaussian Blur and set it to about 2.0.
[X]Recopy the base and bring it to the top : Opacity at 20%. Then go to Filter >> Sharpen >> Sharpen Edges.
[X}Go to Layer >> New Adjustment Layer >> Color Balance and type in these settings:
Midtones: -40;-10;+15
Shadows: -75;-40;-55
Highlights: -10;-10;-20
Set this layer as Screen
[X]Copy the layer you just made and set it as Normal : Opacity at 60%.
[X]Go to Layer >> New Adjustment Layer >> Color Balance again and type in these settings:
Midtones: 0;-20;+100
[X]Make a new layer and it fill it with this color: #e4ccba and set it as Multiply.
[X]Go to Layer >> New Adjustment Layer >> Curves and set the following:
RGB: Input; 70 | Output; 90
Green: Input; 89 | Output; 92
Blue: Input; 82 | Output; 86
[X]Go to Layer >> New Adjustment Layer >> Brightness/Contrast and set
Contrast: +10
[X]Copy the layer you just made and set Opacity at 60%
[X]Go to Layer >> New Adjustment Layer >> Seletive Color and type in the following settings:
Reds:
Cyan -100
Magenta +100
Yellow +100
Yellows:
Cyan -100
Yellow +100
Whites:
Yellow -41
Black -8
Neutrals:
Cyan +100
Magenta +15
Yellow +34
Black -18
