Gambit's hair

How do you usually picture Gambit's hair? I alternate between enivisioning it as long (like it was in XTAS, though it was usually hidden) or shorter (like it is in this icon). Which way do you usually see it, and which way do you prefer it?

I usually imagine it longer as TAS was what first got me into X-Men back when I was a wee little girl. That and I do love my long haired men, heh. I also prefer it longer as it sort of adds to this whole romantic image of Remy, y'know?

I like him with short or long hair only if it's not flowing. I think he looks great with a little tousled hair, not like in X-men Evolution.

I like it better on the longish side, with lots of long bangs falling into his face. He looks weird and wrong the times I've seen where he's been drawn with it pulled it into a ponytail (???) or worn some kind of cap to cover it.

I prefer longer hair, at least shoulder-length. Well, usually it's hidden when he is in his outfit but still the long hair are nice (not like Evo style!).

I've always liked the style they came up with for X-Treme, personally. Just wind-blown enough.
