(no subject)
I'm in a hotel in Charleston right now, and, as I type this, I can hear people singing in the hallways. This might seem strange, given that it's 5:17 am, and that the singing has been going on in hallways, the lobby, dark corners, parking lots, restaurants, etc. since much, much earlier today (if not yesterday).
Why? WHY DO I FEEL LIKE I'M ON THE SET OF A BIZARRE MUSICAL?

That's why.
I didn't know until we went to ihop at 4:00am and people were singing and clapping and cheering and acting like extras from High School Musical 6,002. There are DECORATED CARS on the streets. People are sleeping in parking lots. It is SO WEIRD.
....and now I'm going to walk over there and pretend to be doing my dissertation on the search for celebrity.
