I am reading through First Nephi, chapter 16, where Nephi breaks his bow. I think I may have read through this already, but whatever.
My thought is notice that when Nephi made a bow, and brought food back, he mentiones how is family rejoiced and humbled themselves before the Lord. They thanked the Lord, but not Nephi.
The key to this section to me seems (limited by my understanding)that Nephi did not recieve thanks, nor did he complain that he did not recieve any. Instead, he let glory and thanks go onto God, who provided the wood for the bow and arrow, the beat for meat, and the guidence to Lehi from teh Liahona.
