Team Remus
Fic:
Title/Link: Life In The Grey
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 6800
Summary: Remus shares his diary with Sirius, hoping to finally put the past to rest.
Prompt: #25 - "I want you to know / one thing. / You know how this is: / if I look / at the crystal moon, at the red branch / of the slow autumn at my window, / if I touch / near the fire / the impalpable ash / or the wrinkled body of the log, / everything carries me to you, / as if everything that exists, / aromas, light, metals, / were little boats / that sail / toward those isles of yours that wait for me." - excerpt from the poem "If You Forget Me" by Pablo Neruda

Team Sirius
Fic:
Title/Link: This Word Lies At The Bottom Of A Lake
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 7900
Summary: Briefly he'd considered going to visit Remus, but Sirius has too many stacked up feelings about him to add any more, and he doesn't trust himself not to ruin their carefully patched situation in the wake of the incident - it's only been a year, after all, and there's no better way to shatter a barely recovered friendship than by doing something stupid like throwing out a declaration of love in the middle of explaining the myriad ways in which your family is deranged and terrible. So instead Sirius had hailed the Knight Bus and requested Bowness-on-Windermere.
Prompt: #39 - "We cross our bridges when we come to them and burn them behind us, with nothing to show for our progress except a memory of the smell of smoke, and a presumption that once our eyes watered.” - from the play Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead by Tom Stoppard
