The Teen Movie Challenge
Hello, moonstar shippers! I'd like to propose a Teen Movie Challenge for those who like to write AU and also enjoy a good homage. As seen in delightful romps such as The Hogwarts Breakfast Club, Teen Movies and Marauders go together like puppies and wolves. For example:
Sirius Black's Day Off: Sirius rescues his boyfriend and his bestfriend from a day at school to romp around London [or whereever]. An angry Slughorn and a jealous Regulus try to ruin their day. McGonagall, however, is completely snowed to their honest intentions. Don't forget the scene when someone "Takes a stand." (You could rearrange the characters in a lot of combinations for this, even adding more.)
Grease: Sirius spent the summer at the beach with a boy called Remus, but when his summer love turns up at Hogwarts, how can he live down his gay true love romance in front of his friends? And what to do with the dance contest broadcasted on the WWN that only allows boy-girl pairs? In this challenge, you get the bonus of giving Remus an excuse to demand "You better shape up"; not to mention giving Snape a pregnancy scare.
