The Fickleness of Australian Weather

Jan 25, 2013 07:30

So, it's raining. "YAY!" I hear you say! "What a relief from the stifling heat you poor Australians were suffering!"

Yeah, not so much.

Australian weather, being the nasty contrary bitch that she is, decided that we'd baked long enough - too long really - so she's decided to try and drown us.

Pics or it didn't happen, you say?

Your lawn looks a lot like mine has most of the winter. Last year was the wettest in Britain for a very long time. I'm so sorry it's hitting you now, especially with the leaky roof! Hope it stops soon *hugs*

It's worse around the side and back of the house but I didn't want to drown so I stayed on the verandahs. Ugh.

We're right in the middle of it now so I'm hoping it'll be over tomorrow.

*waves magic wand to wish away the rain*

There's no hasppy medium in the weather at the moment, it's either droughts or floods. Or in our case, snow. It's melting (more unwanted water), but more snow is forecast tomorrow.

Good luck with weathering the storm. Staying on the verandahs sounds sensible.

Oh, good GRIEF! If it's not one thing it's another. Unbelievable. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.

Our patio roof completely overflowed about half an our ago. At this point, it's still too fucking hot and muggy and steamy for us to actually care about checking for blockages.

Hope Hubby manages to find his way home, and that the children (furry and not so), don't end up traipsing mud through the house. ;)

Here, have some Gareth to oogle while the weather makes up it's mind. ;)
