Remus and Nymphadora...
For some reason, JK always called him Lupin, which I thought was so...distant. Anyway!
I would like to ask you guys' your own opinions about the authenticity of their relationship. I shipped them before they were canon, so my pov may be biased, but one can hope that all you puppy-shippers can give your 'Sirius loved Remus and Remus loved him!' arguments a good base, too.
DISCLAIMER: Written in good humor and not meant to be rude at all. I was joking and I think I came across as snotty to some people over at spoil_me_dh I won't change it; all I can say is that that's not what I meant, I promise.
1) In the first scene in which we meet Tonks, Lupin comes to her defense when Moody's all pissy that she broke something. She thanks Remus.
2) Tonks's general personality in book 5 can lead us all to believe that she didn't give a damn about the werewolf thing, and probably (naively) assumed it was 'cool;' much like Sirius did at school.
3) She has boobs, and despite the opinion of the HP fandom, most boys like boobies.
4) Remus made Tonks all upset (pregnancy? That's my hope, but I don't think so. Maybe she had a miscarriage...Okay, now I'm just making up excuses for Jo's bad writing.)
5) The horrible infirmary scene, the one after DD died and no one could believe it. McGonagall and Mrs. Weasley were pushing Remus to Tonksey, and I don't seem them tactless enough to do that if they didn't have an inkling that Lupin liked Tonks, too.
6) End of the book. Holding hands. I don't see Remus just holding a chick's hand to make her happy; and her hair was pink, so they must've worked something out.
7) They get married offscreen, well aware that some people won't be cool with it. ("Ha ha! You've got a werewolf in your family, Bella!" "Shut up, Voldy, you big meanie! I'm gonna tell on you!")
8) Remus has a big internal battle about this. I've already discussed quite openly my feelings of how Remus is all -people-are-too-good-for-me- and I can see no other reason for him marrying Tonks than because he loves her. He wouldn't marry a girl out of pity; he'd feel much guiltier about that than bringing misery into someone's life because he loves them.
9) Sirius had girl posters in his room. Possibly JK's way of telling the fandom he likes the pussy. But then again, you could all argue that they were strategically placed posters, and at night Sirius changed their faces to Remus's before he wanked off.
10) Lupin grabbed Tonks's arm when he ran off from the ministry people. If he didn't care about her a little, he could've took off and left her.
11) Teddy. Some sperm was getting in some vagina somehow.
I dunno, I'm just tired of the Lupin/Tonks hate; or, more specifically, the Tonks hate. She's cute girl, and Jo may've put her through hell behind the scenes of HBP, so don't call her annoying. If you found out that your cat died, you may be unable to change your hair color, too.
