New Interview

Jul 25, 2007 07:30

So, according to the new interview up on Mugglenet, Aurthor Weasley was the one who got the reprieve, and that was all the way back in book five.

Remus was one of the two unplanned deaths. This wasn't said explicitly, but the interview said 'another father dies at the end of the book' and I can't think of who else that would be. The interview then goes on to talk about Harry seeing his parents again.

Now this really bowls me over. I thought he was marked for death all along, not as a last minute change. Does that mean that up until the last book was finished, he was going to live on to have a happy life with his kid and Tonks (assuming they were both suposed to make it through all along as well)?

Let me just say, I'm very happy with the books. I'm happy Remus is back with his friends in the afterlife. I am biased, I am a R/S shipper who does not ship R/T (though I think it's really cool that a lot of people ship both).

But that is very interesting. What made her change? The need to have an unhappy foil to Bill/Fleur's marriage? The need to have a war orphan as there were the first time Voldemort came to power? To round out Harry's 'marching off to death' party?
