"If you give me fleas, I'm going to charm all of your pants to slowly shrink over the course of the day once they've been put on," Remus said sulkily, trying to push Padfoot off of his bed, or at least further away. Alas, the boy/dog refused to budge and opted instead to continue his vigorous scratching. The third time the shaking caused problems with Remus' tidy penmanship he sighed and dropped his quill. "Come here," he commanded. He couldn't help rolling his eyes at the expression on Padfoot's face, the lolling tongue and canine grin. This must've been exactly what the silly git was hoping for. "Obnoxious creature," Remus murmured halfheartedly as his friend plopped down in front of him, practically in his lap. He started behind the soft ears and then moved downward slowly, scratching shoulders and back through the thick, shaggy fur. "You always get your way, don't you?" he asked. Padfoot made a soft chuffing sound, rested his chin against Remus' knee and looked up with that same doggy smile. Remus rolled his eyes again and shook his head, but he couldn't quite conceal a smile.
