"Percy's on the list, right?" Tonks asked.

"Of course he is. You can't invite one Weasley without inviting all of them and there's no way I would have forgotten all of them," Remus answered somewhat testily, raising his voice to be heard over Teddy's shrieks of protest. Apparently, the boy was not in the mood for strained peas.

Remus glanced up to make sure Tonks wasn't looking and then scribbled Percy's name on the list of people who needed to be invited to Teddy's first birthday party. A bit of green mush splatted onto his parchment and was followed by the sound of a spoon clattering on the floor. His gaze flickered to his wife and son again and this time Tonks looked thoroughly exasperated.

"Teddy! You have to eat! Please!" she practically begged. Turning, she gave Remus a desperate look. "Will you try? I'm going to lose my mind if I have to do this much longer today."

It took effort for Remus to avoid rolling his eyes. He was uncharacteristically irritable today, too. Teddy had been mildly sick for nearly a week now and between medicine and a fluctuating appetite and a ruined sleep schedule, it was really beginning to wear on everybody's nerves. Nevertheless, he rose from his chair and tried to get Teddy to eat the damned peas.

Ten minutes later, Remus was in an even worse state than Tonks. At least when her hair was green, it was on purpose. Remus' was pasted up in tufts from frustrated hands running through it and it smelled funny. "Oh, give me the spoon," Tonks grumbled, snatching it from his hand. "You're hopeless at this."

As she turned toward Teddy again, a large glob of baby food adhered itself to the middle of her face. Remus bit the inside of his bottom lip to keep from smiling as Tonks turned to look at him. She glared. "It looks like you think you want to say something," she muttered through slightly clenched teeth. "Choose your words carefully, Remus John Lupin."

He stood, cupped her dirty face in his hands and smiled. "Will you marry me?" he asked.

"I thought I already did," she pointed out, blinking.

"Mmm," Remus agreed. "You did. Secretly and in a rush. Will you marry me again? The right way, this time. Fancy and in front of everyone."

Tonks laughed and kissed Remus, smearing his face with the strained peas from hers. When they pulled apart, she rested their foreheads together and grinned. "Yes," she murmured. "You could ask me to marry you again a hundred times and I'd say yes every time."

"Even when we're covered in spit and food and we're sniping at each other?"

"Maybe especially then."

Remus couldn't help grinning. He'd definitely married the right person.
