Since when did LJ let you have 6 user pics for free? Lol, I'm still living in the dark ages when you needed an invite to get an account I guess.
Anyway, I had my first office hours today, and someone actually showed up! Gahh! I wasn't planning on that. I answered 4 out of 5 of her questions, I figured for not having that material in like 6 years and being totally unprepared for a random person to walk in I didn't do that bad. I hope she feels the same way!
I also had forensic orientation today. The good news: I got some free stuff ie a t-shirt and gel pen. Bad news: I am even more freaked out and stressed about this program then I was to begin with. These two years are going to kill me. I can sense it.
So I come back to my apartment this afternoon, and the toilet is still acting like a little bitch. It's flooded 3 times so far, and all my attempts at playing plumber failed miserably. So I call maintenance and he comes to fix it. Yay! He floods it first. Boo! Gallons of toilet water (clean at least, thank GOD) gush from the tank and head down the hall. I sacrificed my spare sheets to stem the tide, but it didn't work that well. So the water finally stops, he does plumber stuff, and changes a part in the tank, and mopped my floor. So working toilet and clean floors! It could have been worse.
Now I just have to wait for my rugs to dry, which seems to take up to 2 weeks in this place. Damn uncontrollable AC.
