So I just wanted to drop a note saying that I'm okay, everyone in my family is okay, and none of our close friends were affected either by the bomb in Oslo or the shootings at the youth camp. Nope, not yet. We stuck on a bit of a holiday after the wedding, since we probably won't be coming back here for a while (Norway is EXPENSIVE). But thank you, we're very lucky.

Holy shit, it's terrible. The conversion rate is highway robbery. Five hot dogs and five drinks from a 7-11 was over $60 USD. GAS STATION HOT DOGS. Also, alcohol is taxed like 80%, so nobody drinks. Very upsetting.

It is the worst. And now, when I really want to drink, I can't afford it and nobody has anything remotely palatable. :(
