As a former mod, I just wanted to chime in a bit about the writing more than receiving -- for all the rounds I ran, I personally could only guarantee that a person would receive one remix regardless of whether they wrote one or five, which is rather unfortunate but I just found that the spreadsheeting would have driven me insane if I tried to up that. Even in the one lightning round we had with only 5 people (both writing & receiving, so it was a reciprocal round), the distribution still wasn't 100% equal due to the fact that not all participants share fandoms, and the fandoms people sign up to write don't always match with the what people can offer for remixing.

So even reciprocal rounds, my hunch is that if it involves the option of writing more than one remix, it could be really difficult to guarantee everyone received as much as they wrote especially at the scale this remix is at now (as compared to the easy old days when only five of us wanted to write three remixes instead of just one *g*). If it were a monofannish challenge I'm betting it'd be totally doable to to multiple reciprocal remixes, I think in this case it's just the fandom distribution thing that makes it tough. Then again, maybe there's some kind of nifty algorithm out there that would take care of this problem that I just haven't heard of!

Haha, sorry, probably more than you needed to hear about that topic. I have a tendency to overthink things. *g* But I can definitely sympathize, since I wrote something like six remixes this round but ended up deciding not to offer my fic up for remixing since I'm not exactly on LJ at the moment, so. Anyway, glad to hear you enjoyed your first time! It's always so cool to see new people participating :)
