The first time she saw them, they barely spoke. Mr Snape, a regular, snubbed the other man. Snape tried to leave but had only succeeded in letting in the wind, spreading papers everywhere.
Then the other man, Mr Lupin she learned, bought the Potions magazine Snape was waiting for. She could order another but Snape had been rude, she had no reason to do him a favor.
She could see it had become a game, who could get the new journals first. She didn't care, as long as they sold.
Then, one day, they came and bought the journals together.
