"You're so cold."
D'Anna looks at Laura standing here and regarding her with that cold, judgemental expression, and sees her brothers being thrown out into the cold, judgemental vacuum of space. Laura immediately puts up more walls, pretending ice cold is all she really is, which tells D'Anna that she believes it isn't. Perhaps when she was done watching the air and the life sucked out of an airlock, Laura retired with some lover and believed only that side of her was who she really was.
That last thought makes D'Anna realize: humans and herself are more alike than not.
