So like, with the original of this, I was pleased with myself that I'd fit so much story into 300 words, and here you have it in 100. :D This is so clever. I love that it is future fic (Merlin with longer hair and a good position in court yay) and yet not. I actually love that I had to read it several times to make sure I got it. Also that she is scary in my Merlin POV one but from yours she is gentle and forgiving. In short, whoo, Merlin and Morgana! Thank you for this!

very true - possibly morgana thinks that she's being nice, but merlin's too busy being freaked out about imminent stake-burning to properly take in the tone.

and i loved and continue to love the original, which is creepy and (unlike mine) subtle in its inferring of things to come. which makes sense with arthurian legend, because we all know what's going to happen.

WAHHHH D:

Nooo, Morgana T_T
But, visions can go to an alternate future, right? D:

I love those first three paragraphs. And the repetition of "awkward."

interesting point... and one which 'merlin' (the show) hasn't really discussed. yet they could be misleading - morgana thinks she's going to die, but really merlin had a cunning plan whereby he knocked her out, then pretended she was dead to the guards, took her away and sent her off to avalon. it could happen.

glad you enjoyed the awkwardness - i was wondering whether to leave it in, and clearly - yes. good :)

Mm, this is great. There's so much being said in so few words.
