I love the fact that two different people decided to remix the same drabble - there's so much room for different stories in it. And I love Hermione's confidence here in spite of the frustration.

I really enjoyed your take on this - Hermione's confidence (and almost arrogance - but that's a good thing!) and determination ring very true for me. She really does use facts and knowledge as an almost tangible shield, doesn't she?

This Hermione doesn't strike me as one who would be very good at making friends - quite like canon Hermione, actually. I can relate to her thirst of knowledge. It is power, after all.
