Sign up on this post if you would like to write a remix of someone else's fic in 100 words.

Tell us how many remixes you would like to write (one, two, or three) and we will send you that many assignments, expecting you to write (at least) one drabble for each person.

List the three fandoms you'd most like to write (in order by preference) ( Read more... )

Two related questions:

"C6D" is the official name for the six-degrees-of-Canada conglomeration of media that's (however indirectly) associated with due South. Is it okay to use the "C6D" designation? There really isn't a good way -- nor a generally recognized way -- to spell it out.

And should we combine due South and C6D (which would be my inclination)? Or list them as separate fandoms?

LOL, i just signed up with C6D--I should have looked to see what the answer to this was!

Lovely moderator, if my sign-up is confusing, please feel free to let me know and I will edit it. :)

Hee. I'm pretty unsure about it myself because those fandoms are unfamiliar to me, but I think we should be good with the way you did it - list due South as one fandom, and people who sign up for C6D should be prepared to remix any of the other smaller ones. Does that seem like a sensible way to go about it?

I think is, yes! People may want to list the ones they're most comfortable with, maybe? I certainly don't want to speak for everyone, but I'd be kind of shocked if someone asked for a Flower and Garnet drabble. ;) Though I am totally willing to watch any C6D media and pinch-hit, should you require!! :)

I think NO. How is the mod going to know, anyway, what fandoms the potential remixee has unless they are also broken out?

I mean, I have enough to qualify if you add together Slings & Arrows and Hard Core Logo, but I don't think it's fair to lump them together. On the other hand, I have enough Wilby Wonderful all by itself, so that's a single fandom.

I think that C6D RPF is a reasonable "fandom", but that C6D should not be considered a single fandom, just the component parts.

Okay, thanks for your input, I'm going with you on this. I was unsure because I'm not familiar with any of the fandoms, but listing them separately goes better with our general policy and should make matching easier. I'll edit the sign-up posts.

just the component parts

Ah, yes, that does make things easier. Behold my ability to make simple things confusing, for lo, it is legendary. ;)

Hey, don't feel bad. I'm the one that gave four different answers in an hour! ;)

I really did make that more confusing than I should have! I have amended my sign-ups to be less confusing! Yay!

I am *very* excited about this remix, btw! ::bounces::

Except now I'm confused because the list you linked to includes big fandoms like Supernatural and Battlestar Galactica which we definitely want to count separately.

As far as C6D goes (and anyone else around who wants to correct me, feel free), I think anyone who is going to sign up for BSG or SPN would list them separately and not as part of C6D. :-)

The C6d_weekly, for instance, only would include links that pertained to Callum's character on SPN (no idea, never seen an episode!) or BSG if it included Leoben.

I hope this is making any kind of sense?

Ah, okay, that does help me understand. Um, would there be a problem with dropping C6D and just listing individual shows? I think that would make matching easier.

No, that is probably totally a lot easier--I didn't mean to be confusing! When I think things are simpler, I end up making it more difficult, lol. I have a gift. ::headdesk::

C6D is fine as a designation (now that I know what it is, heh), but I'd like to keep them separate so we don't end up with someone who's only into due South assigned to someone who has less than five plain old due South fics.

I vote NO on combining due South and C6D. Also no on C6D as a fandom designation, except for C6D RPF. Because what if I say I want to do C6D and am given nothing but Twitch City and Flashpoint, neither of which I watch?

Sorry for dithering, but I'm going to ask for all the Canadian shows should be listed separately. I'll edit the posts to put that in.
