I love this take on the original, especially the twist on the end about why Adam's so concerned to make sure Peter knows how to control his powers. I wasn't expecting it all and it puts this wonderfully dark spin on what went before.

Your Adam characterisation is brilliant. I love his internal exasperation with Peter and he has this world weary air about him that I think anyone who has been around as long has would have.

I'm not usually a fan of the Ali Larter characters, but I liked your inclusion of Barbara here and the role you had her playing. It's an interesting life you've given her and I really could see Ali Larter playing her. :)

Great remix for a great original!

Yay! How exciting that you chose one of the Adam stories. How I miss that man... :(

This was a fun look at Adam's scheming. Not that drinking actually did any good, but sometimes pretending to be drunk helped to put him in a better mood. Amen to that!

I liked Adam's frustration as he seethes at Peter not knowing how to take advantage of what he has: It was lucky that Adam possessed good sense---something Peter would never acquire like a sponge---and could keep Peter strung around his finger. Yes, Peter will NEVER acquire good sense. Ever. Ever ever.

However, while for Adam it was true that regenerating in public was a bad idea, it was almost shocking that Peter didn’t realize it wasn’t a problem for him. It's interesting to see how Adam's mind works here, and imagine what he would have done if he had Peter's powers. Clearly he has a very different set of priorities than our little Petrelli boy.

Interesting twist to bring Barbara into the equation with a secret fact-finding mission...

Peter was gorgeous, up for it, and good. ( ... )

OMG. Adam's perception of Peter had me in stitches. I love your characterization - Adam was wonderfully dark and snarky!
