Well, given that I've never written Dexter before, and that this was written in a last minute panic after I couldn't make my remix of the wonderful Surprises work that really means a lot.

I should also say that I was both pleased and terrified when I got you to remix as I've loved your writing ever since Babylon 5 was one of my first fandoms, and it was great to re-read some of your fic.

I agree with the above comment - your Dexter voice is excellent. I especially liked this line: "Dexter had always considered himself lucky to be in a line of work where this was a situation which called for nonchalance." YES. So very Dex. I love the idea of Kate getting a fresh start, although working with Dexter is no way to avoid strangeness. Still, she does get to be on a bowling team. *g*

Good remix! For one second I almost thought you'd bring David Fisher in the mix but that would just have made my head hurt. Still, the idea is great. It's interesting to imagine that Dexter finding the stakes probably makes him think Kate's something of a murderer herself - oh, the confusion.
