It took me a minute to get into the rhythm; once I did, it was delightful, and absolutely appropriate for the adventure on which Our Hero embarked. I can't fathom being able to think about chili during a hangover, but obviously House has a stronger constitution than I do. Awesome!

Ah, my lack of beta and inexperience with hangovers rears its head (their heads?). I mean, yes, House has a strong constitution. :)

Glad you enjoyed!

(Hi bironic, because I think you wrote this, and that's my guess, so hello!)

Dear Remixer, you're a genius. I love you. I will have more to say after the reveal, but right now, I'm just going to say, I love you.

:P I suppose it wasn't much of a mystery who wrote this.

Anyway, thanks! I'd love to hear this "more" you speak of.

Yay for heroic poetry! OMG, I was laughing almost every line--the light, wry tone, the imagery, the rhythm, the rhyme--wow! Surely thou deservest a round of ale upon the reveal, forsooth!

Thank you! I'm really glad you enjoyed it.

Remember how we were going to do an April Is National Poetry Month 'fest? I wanted so badly to point at this and say, "Here is mine!" but I could not, alas.

Yeah, sorry about how that fell apart... :-( But still, heroic couplets = awesome!

I was going to apologize to you -- I haven't been in much of a position to organize anything since last month. Or, ah, to reply to your meta post on fandom poetry. Now that this is up, I should head back over.
