Oh, this is wonderful! I love the insight you've given into Calypso here, caught between woman and goddess, into her backstory with Jack, and into what more she might want from Will than his heart. I like the reversals, how he tastes of earth and iron and how she lays her ear on his chest at the end to hear the forge. How she recognizes his essence as he does hers.

Tia Dalma, he called her, a name she’d picked out for herself.

Jack Sparrow, she called him, just the same.

I liked the parallel there--always liked the idea that Jack picked that name rather than was given it.

Brilliantly done!

This was great -- I love Calypso's voice in this, and the way she sees the world.

This is great! I love the way Calypso is here, and Will, too, at the end.

Ooh, I love the last line in particular (the echo of the last line of the original, and what it says about them both).

And I also really like the repetition of her body as a prison and the way(s) she finds to (almost) escape it.
