Whew, this was great! I especially liked the way you made Bobby's little ice age so much more dark and dangerous, and the added POVs of Derek the cop and Ronnie. Favourite lines (my apologies if my added comments seem a tad trite):

Derek:
Derek wonders what he would do, if he was faced with that choice. If one of his special and amazing kids were a mutant - what would he do?
Great description of the dilemma the cop is in. I'm so mad at Bobby's parents in this scenario, because they do nothing.

Rogue:
And Bobby - Bobby is doing his best one-man impersonation of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, and maybe Rogue should stop her boyfriend from going to the dark side, but right now she just wants to keep John from dying in her arms. She doesn’t even like him.
Great character insight.
I love your paramedic!Rogue, and the way you fleshed out her saving John's life.

Bobby:
His friends he leaves in a circle of relative warmth. Bobby doesn’t want to hurt them any more than they’ve already been hurt by the humans. He doesn’t want to hurt them ever.
and
The humans - he’s never made that kind of distinction before.
Exactly - John getting shot forced him to think and act in a way he never would have done otherwise.
Your Bobby's way scarier than mine. Also, bleeding!John trying to help the cops that shot him is a nice touch I'd never have thought of. Helps emphasize how seemingly out-of-character, or rather out-of-good!schoolboy-persona Bobby becomes here.

Ronnie:
His front yard is ice, like someone up-ended a snowglobe. It was green the last time he looked. His brother - Bobby - did this.
Yes, Ronnie. Because of you. Go elsewhere if you're looking for sympathy.

Bobby:
It’s just that he can’t stop remembering - what it did to him, seeing John hurt - and wondering, if there really would be no difference if it had been someone else. He can’t stop wondering if maybe, he did something wrong.
Ah, yes, the aftermath. Can't be pretty. And adults who weren't there to help them passing judgement isn't really helpful at all.

What scares John is that Bobby cares so much, and that he’s got all this stuff going on inside that he never shows John, or Rogue, or anyone, as far as he knows. [...] John felt him, really felt Bobby for the first time, and knows just how much power he’s hiding. How much Bobby doesn’t want to hide it.
And John, who has now seen what Bobby could really be, and who will now probably consider all the new ways in which to challenge him. Mighty dark to travel indeed.

So, all in all, I am terribly pleased with how my first participation in a remix turned out! Hopefully, working on Frosted World was fun for you, too, and whoever wrote you a remix made you feel as content as I feel right now. Thank you!

I had a great time. This was my first time writing in XMM and it was fun to dip into this 'verse, and play with one of my all time favourite characters (Bobby). Thanks for the opportunity. ;)
