Thanks so much. I thought the series moved Giles past Jenny's death a little fast, so it was good to delve back into that.

Ouch ouch ouch ouch all over again. Worse to inhabit the head of the guy going through it, isn't it? I thought so, when I chose Xander's head instead for this.

This line is heartbreaking for more indirect reasons: He's sorry for this, though this is how the world works. What happened to Giles to teach him that? Ouch again.

And again: ouch to the use of "O soave fanciulla". A good ouch. Grim material, but we do love watching our characters hurt, don't we? So we can get to that moment of cuddling at the end.

Fab job with grim material, here. *applauds* Awesome!

Thank you! I was delighted to get your name in the draw, and this was such a moving piece. (I worried I gave myself away when I admitted I was nosing around your fic, but you probably figured it couldn't be me when you were remixing me!)

I was glad to find out what the aria was in "Passion" and that I had a copy of "La Boheme" in the house so that I could weave it in. (Yeah, I haven't listened to it enough to know what it was when I saw the ep, but I did find a remaindered copy a while back and thought it was a thing I should have.)

I love the original, and this is a fantastic companion. It's gorgeous and wrenching and all kinds of wonderful things. Major ouch, but not needlessly.

Thank you so much! By the way, I peeked at your LJ and would love to friend you -- I waited until the reveal, though, so I wouldn't give it away!
