Question: Since the form only allows us to offer up to 4 fandoms, I had to stick to my top choices, but there are others I'd be willing to write. Could I list, say, 'White Collar' and 'Firefly' under the optional/writein fandoms?

Unfortunately, no, we can't allow that. You can, however, sign up for the pinch hitters group, and one of your other choices may come up there.

Okay, already in pinch-hitters so nothing else I can do!

Thanks.

Question: I mod the Johnny's Entertainment Remix challenge - which this year doesn't overlap with Redux and I'm so so so happy for that -. It has just ended but I do know some people couldn't participate in ours.
Do you guys mind if I promote the redux in the JE Remix comm?

Not at all! Please spread the word as far and as wide as you can.

Done! And amusingly enough - or 'OMG, my Winamp is going to kill me in my sleep one of these days'-ly enough - I was listening to Alphaville's Big in Japan.

Grah, I had a similar problem with signups in that I'm very happy to write either of those Treks, but I put four other things as my first options. (I don't qualify to be remixed in either of those.)

Which I know doesn't help you. Especially if, as I imagine, the numbers are just too big for it to come down to being able to check & rejig individual signups as necessary. I am willing to swap out one or two of the others and re-sign up closer to time, if it comes down to the wire on either of those Treks, though, fwiw?

(and I've joined the pinch hitters group, thanks for the heads up!)

Well, you do have an extra slot, because technically, you should have only chosen Doctor Who (1963) if you're willing to write any Who. But at this point, what i need is someone who has stories to remix in those Treks, not people who want to remix in them (though of course, as people sign up, that may change).

I'll keep you in mind, though, if we still need someone closer to when the signups close. *g*

Thanks.

Ohhhhh, I thought you had to choose both if you're willing to write Old Who *and* Nu Who, OK, sorry!

OK, thank you. :)

(and, obviously, I'm more than willing to take on an extra assignment or two, but you knew that already and I'm in the pinch-hitting group)

No worries. You weren't the only one who was confused. *g*

I have a question: I qualify in LOTR fandom, but I have my stories tagged on AO3 as "Lord of the Rings - Tolkien" whereas the tag on the signups is "Lord of the Rings (2001 2002 2003)". Most other archives don't really separate out book/movie-verse like that. I hope this division isn't too strict! I can definitely write or remix both, and most people in the fandom I know could too.

You know, it didn't even occur to me to mention it, but that's fine. We'll make a note of it. *g*
