Oh, I love this! I never would have dreamed up this version myself, but it fits so many of the details so perfectly, from the physical isolation to small things in the original story, like the use of the computer, staring at the ceiling, running out of food. I really like the way you tied everything together and shifted them from the social (anti-social) setting to the professional one you created here. I especially like the moment in the cafeteria where Trowa "felt almost human again," because that very thing - the disconnect with humanity - is so very much a part of my own story. And thank you for the lovely, awkward, promising kiss towards the end. ♥ Thank you for the beautiful last line. ♥♥ Thank you, thank you for this wonderful story!

I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I was wondering if it was all right to change the setting so much, and it's a relief to hear that you liked it. ^_^ I thought the premise of your story was so clever--I've watched a few episodes of Welcome to the NHK!, but it never would have occurred to me to apply the hikikomori idea to Gundam Wing. ^_^ I had a fun time reading through all your Trowa/Quatre fics while trying to choose which one to remix; they still remain one of my favorite pairings for the fandom.
