Love it - Hank's narration, the friendship between him and Emma, the developing relationship between Emma and Scott - and of course the twinkies!

I'm going to have to give in and buy some of those damn things this week, and I don't even like them. I don't know if, being European, you've had the privilege, but they're sort of like semi-edible sponges, with creme-y sugar inside. Anyway. . . Hank insists on rhapsodizing about them, in my head and I'm going to end up with a craving.

I'm glad you liked this -- I thought you'd enjoy the Hank & Emma scene, particularly.

Ahh, glorious! Hanks' voice was perfect (and hysterical), and I love his concern for the students.

Oh, and I love that Emma didn't know how Twinkies work.

Oh, and I love that Emma didn't know how Twinkies work.

Yes, they're not really in her realm of experience. . .

I'm glad you liked it, thanks for reading!

Oh that's so cute! I love the slow movement toward healing that the original has and this one takes up in the spades, and I love Hank's narrative voice.

Thanks! His voice was fun to play with, and I'm glad that the underlying tone came across, even though it's mostly a light-hearted story.

Henry is wonderful as the narrator here. I love that his office is a haven for the kids to come and talk, I love his friendship with Emma, and the way he gently teases Scott. And a Tony Stark cameo! Made of awesome.

I'm so glad you liked Henry! I was nervous about writing him, especially in first person, and I'm glad the voice came across. And I couldn't resist slipping Tony in there.

Thanks for the comment, and I'm glad you liked it.
