Thank you so much! I liked that scene in Hoggle's house, the ordinary life he had, toast and tea, puttering in the kitchen. And then off he goes to spray fairies with Fairy-B-Gone, which made me laugh, and put me in mind of a market - a market for stuff odd to us but ordinary to him. And, voila.

Voila, indeed. After a week, I'm still speechless with pleasure every time I look at your fic. I'd like to give you some more coherent feedback--tell you the parts I liked best, but the truth is, I love all of it. This fic is made of awesome. I've linked to it from my Web site, so that hopefully anyone who happens to read "Seasonal Work" will come over and read this, too. I just want everybody to see and enjoy it. Thank you again.

Thank you! The original story gave a sense of his solitude and acceptance of his life. I wanted to explore his reactions over time to previous girls, and how he came to be where he was.
