Oh, I love this! It's just jam-packed full of wonderful lines and fabulous images, and the dynamic between Regulus and Remus is fascinating, plus the parallels that you've drawn so well. And the plotting is fascinating, too.

I love how present Sirius is in his absence for both characters.

Really, this is brilliant, you've done an excellent job!

Thank you! I'm very fond of making Remus and Regulus hate each other pretty mutually, but have to work together or respect each other. They're fun.

This is excellent. The writing is beautiful, and the motivation you've given Regulus here - the mix of family and pride - is so foreign yet really makes sense for him.

Ah! Ah! This is for me! I love what you've done with the thing. I love you drawing Regulus into it, instead of just the boys. It's chock-full of great lines, and the characterization was fabulous. Thank you!

Thanks so much! I'm really glad that you enjoyed it- it was a lovely ficlet to start from! I've done the dynamic you wrote before, so it was fun to pull in Regulus and turn Remus into a totally unreliable narrator. (I can totally see Remus lying to protect Sirius- it's pretty close to canon :) (Especially if it also involves protecting himself!))
