If stay-at-home moms claim to be busy all the time, they should try giving the working mom role a trysies.

Scratch that. The working mom who also struggles to keep her own identity. The working mom who also tries to better HERSELF for her FAMILY while also trying to make a better life for her CHILD. This shit it enough to make someone break down.

Which is what I feel like I'm in the middle of doing right now.

That isn't to say that stay-at-home moms don't stay busy. I have no doubt that they do. I get a glimpse of what they do when I have my child all to myself for a whole weekend. We are nonstop. And the whole advice you get when they're newborn, the "Sleep when she sleeps!" thing? Yeah, that still applies when they're coming-8-months-old.

And then, add in the fact that I'm a working mom who is struggling to keep her own identity while also trying to make it so her child can have a better life - then add that for a couple weeks every month I'm a single mom. If I'm really lucky, he gets to leave twice in one month for two weeks at a time. If I'm SUPER DUPER LUCKY, he goes overseas for 3-4 weeks.

This shit's not easy folks. Don't ever let anyone tell you that being a mom is easy. It is trying. It is nerve-wracking. And sometimes, you just want to send them back where they came from.

But then, there's nothing better than hearing your baby laugh.
