PROFESSOR LAYTON and the Eternal Diva♪
Remi's Profile Affiliation: Blackbelt Trainer.
Personality:One thing to notice about Remi: she can run on roofs, and she loves taking pictures!
First seen in Specter's Flute as the titular Professor Layton's assistant, (the first, Assistant Number Two!) Remi's right away painted as a straightforward kind of person--she says what's on her mind and will act when it's needed. Stubborn and vocal, her almost reckless actions (like chasing Black Crow from roof to roof, and steering her motorized scooter in front of the Professor's car in order to get his attention) are just further proof of her basic character: a feisty young woman who walks the walk!
Though she's tougher and more acrobatic than most characters in the series, she has a kind, almost big sister side to her. Her reassurances to a child in Eternal Diva and playful teasing towards Luke (or, Assistant Number Two as she so lovingly dubs him) paints her as not only someone who can fend for herself and others, but has the heart to do so. Her playful teasing towards Luke, who vehemently denies her previously-mentioned nickname also gives her a cheerful and casual side. So, she'd prefer it if you just called her "Remi", okay?
So far we've seen Remi portrayed as a strong person emotionally: but she's also quite intelligent in her own right. Layton presents her with a puzzle upon their meeting, and she proved capable enough to solve it. She's able to decipher a situation and respond accordingly; this quick-thinking allows her to save Luke and Jenis from trouble, right in the nick of time. Though she was initially far away, she still managed to wrap her head around the scenarios and understand where she was needed. Of course, as an assistant, this is key! This dependable image allows Professor Layton to entrust Remi with several missions (such as information gathering), even without his presence.
Though she has her kind, compassionate side, Remi's no pushover. She won't hesitate to do what she needs to do when trouble comes knocking: whether it means kicking a wolf in the face or running right up a building. This lady's got guts!
Strengths/Weaknesses: As stated previously, Remi's a strong emotional character. Compassionate, kind and brave, Remi's very capable of taking care of herself. However, she is rash and very quick to resort to action, which can prove quite dangerous regardless of whether she's capable.
Her caring nature causes her to worry about her friends, and she's shown to be quite visibly distressed when she believes the Professor's in danger. A bit of a hero, she can rush into situations sometimes (such as the aforementioned chasing of Black Crow: he appears and then jumps away, with Remi quickly giving chase. also, her reckless driving), even if this impulsiveness is not always seen.
Another strength is her athletic capability: Remi can take on several grown men without effort, and manages to take out a pack of wolves with a couple of kicks. Need to run up a building to enact a chase scene on the roofs of the town? No problem! Remi's got you covered for all your action scene needs, Professor Layton.

Samples
(Please note that both samples must take place in Route_29’s setting.)
First Person Sample: [there's a small flickering, and the face of a young woman appears on the feed, the face of a Tyrogue beside her]
Oh, is it on--? Hello! I guess I should start with an introduction. I'm Remi Altava; pleased to meet you. Now, I was wondering if anyone had any information on this place's location? I'm not really familiar with the area, and nothing really seems to stand out as recognizable to me. The music is rather cheery, though I'm not sure where exactly it's coming from...
[the tyrogue looms closer to the screen, and she brightens up, as she just remembered something]
Ah, I almost forgot. Does this little one seem familiar to anyone? I have a feeling he's lost. He's been sticking around with me, so I thought perhaps I might get him home. Both him and I appreciate any help that's given to us.
Third Person Sample: Her location was strange, and nothing like London. Actually, she was almost certain she wasn't anywhere near London anymore. The specifics of how she was brought here were foggy, at best, and she was left to do nothing but pace with the strange ball in her hand--red and white and foreign looking, about as unfamiliar as the rest of her surroundings. So in all honesty, nothing was getting done.
"Well," she began, placing her hand underneath her chin thoughtfully: "The point is to get home now, Remi."
A nod to herself. Yes, getting home. "All right," the voice was full of conviction, and she had now gotten herself on an objective. Home was easy! Except... there was still one thing that remained unclear, and that was the object in her hand. She inspected it closely, turning it 'round in her hand and observing the (what she assumed was) the top portion, observing the (what she assumed was) the bottom portion, and the (what she assumed was) button to open it. After a small moment of deliberation, the button was pressed, and Remi was met with the strangest sight in the world.
She had seen specters, masked men, and ghosts, but she had never seen... a Tyrogue. He looked eerily like a young boy--and... he had been in the ball? What kind of... "What were you doing in there?" she managed to ask after a small silence, still keeping her gaze locked with the Pokémon. The gears in her head were turning even quicker now, and if she hadn't been sure that wherever she was was vastly different than London, she was sure now.
She barely had time to think before the Tyrogue lunged a well-aimed kick towards her, perhaps in friendly challenge, and Remi met that kick with her own.
The Tyrogue seemed to smile, removing his leg from the stalemate, and Remi mimicked that action. Any regular person would be apprehensive after this assumed assault--but she somehow understood that this wasn't an attack. Actually, she could even say she felt impressed.
"You're pretty good!" she smiled in return, observing the Pokémon with both hands on her hips. "I don't suppose you can tell me where I am, can you?"
"Ty. Tyrogue."
"Ty? ... Well, I guess not," Remi shook her head, but she didn't mind the fact that the strange creature couldn't speak--that just meant she had to find someone who could. "Are you coming along?"
The Tyrogue nodded at her request, following at her heels. She clenched the open ball in her hand, giving a final look around the terrain, and a last happy smile at her Tyrogue. Getting home would be easy!
