I seriously doubt that's a true story; there are too many inconsistencies in it, let alone the poor manner with which it's written. It looks more like just another attempt to bash the Catholic Church to me.

It doesn't matter how it was written or the stupid catches in it... it's the principle behind it. It's standing up for what one believes in even when it does one no good at all. That's important. And so what if it was bashing catholocism... they're not exactly the perfect role model for society or religion.

I would leave. People should live the way they want to, if its not hurting anyone who is to say that they can't do it? Its sad that we can't accept people for who they are. That we discriminate people because they happen to love people of the same sex is just sad. Ugh.
