Trent had a BM yesterday while I was picking Devon up from school. He was with Tony because Tony had left work early just in case I needed to go back to the ER or Mobile. Trent tried to hold it in but it was softer so he let it out with minimal pain. He is still suspicious though and doesn't want me to wipe his bottom (I've been using a baby wash cloth to dry him after spraying his bottom with warm water to cleanse) or allow the stools to come out easily. I'll be glad when he can relax again, which shouldn't be too much longer. His bottom is healing pretty quickly.
He has been passing a lot of gas, without pain thank heavens. I began the Miralax this morning so I'm really anxious. I don't want him to swing to the other side of spectrum. Before giving him any more prune or fiber rich veggies, I'm gonna see how he reacts to the Miralax.
I'm beginning to dread any variation of the sentence: "________ is more common/likely in children with Down syndrome."
down syndrome,
