found your journal randomly, thought i'd help you out with something

in your profile you wrote "af hverju séum þú svo dásamlegur"

i assume you want to say "why are you so wonderful"

well, instead of séum you should use the verb "ert". séum is the subjunctive mood for the verb vera (be) and it is also only used when talking about "we". you might use it if you say "ég hugsa að við séum að koma klukkan hálf ellefu" ("i think we're coming at 10:30"). you want to say "ert" because you're not saying something that needs the subjunctive and that is the word that goes with þú (like "thou art")

secondly you wanna say "svona" instead of "svo". svo kind of means "then" more than it means "so", not in an "if then" way but in a "and then hjalti drank a gallon of milk" kind of then.

and dásamlegur is used if you're talking to a male, dásamleg to a female

so "af hverju ert þú svona dásamleg(ur)"

or "af hverju ertu svona dásamleg(ur)" if you want to slur your words in writing as so many icelanders do

this was quite long

cheers
